Haikou distributes shopping coupons starting Aug. 4

Starting at 10am on August 4th, the People’s Government of Haikou in South China’s Hainan Province began distributing coupons for duty-free shopping, dining, and accommodations through the UnionPay App to celebrate Qixi, a traditional romantic Chinese holiday.

Coupons are available to consumers from 10am on August 4th to 11pm on August 9th (coupons are available on the app daily from 10am to 11pm). These coupons must be used within 3 days from issue. 

Duty-free coupons can be used in Haikou’s duty-free stores, which are located in Mova Plaza, Meilan International Airport, Global Premium Free Duty-Free Plaza, and the Times DF Haikou Mission Hills Centreville Duty-Free City. Shoppers can also use them to make purchases on the WeChat mini programs of these duty-free shops.

The following types of coupons are available: 50-yuan discount for every 500-yuan purchase, 208-yuan discount for every 2000-yuan purchase, 808-yuan discount for every 8000-yuan purchase, and 188-yuan discount for every 2000-yuan online-purchase.
