On June 20th, the Nam Tha 1 Hydropower Station in northern Laos successfully sent electricity to Yunnan Province in Southwest China, marking the first two-way transmission in 12 years since the bilateral power trade between the two sides. The transmission relies on the existing 115 kilovolt line, which has been operating for 12 years with joint investment by China and Laos. The power trade will provide a practical reference for the subsequent 500 kilovolt China-Laos network project, which will help achieve a win-win collaboration.

Lately, European countries have put forward the idea of importing coal from Indonesia, and Germany was the first to make a large order of 150 million tons. Indonesia has 143.7 billion tons of coal resources and 38.8 billion tons of coal reserves that can be continuously exploited for more than 70 years. In 2021, Indonesia's coal output reached 614 million tons, of which the domestic consumption was only 133 million tons and 78% were exported.
