To celebrate the 2nd anniversary of the Master Plan for the Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port, Hainan International Media Center has produced a three-episode documentary Coming Through, showcasing the new changes in people's lives in the Hainan FTP.

Since the implementation of the master plan, Hainan has been actively advancing the construction of the International Education Innovation Island. Students and their parents are flocking to the island to enjoy the diverse education models that are emerging.

Parents, students and teachers are all constantly pursuing the "ideal" education and bringing their own innovative ideas into the classroom. Chu Xiangyou, a seventh-grade student at iSchool in Chengmai, moved with her entire family from Zhejiang to Hainan to seek an education style that better suited her. In the first part of this series, BUDDING, Xiangyou and those involved in her schooling share their answers to the eternal question "What makes for a good education?”
