During 2022 Hainan's Two Sessions, a host of deputies to the Hainan Provincial People's Congress introduced the achievements and future development philosophies of several cities and counties in Hainan.

Hainan' s government work report proposes to put weight on science and technology innovation. In recent years, Sanya has constructed the Sanya Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City and the Sanya Central Business District. Revolving around the southern seed breeding, deep-sea technology, finance, and other areas, the two key industrial parks make continuous efforts to attract investment and aim to become a new growth point and pole of Sanya's economic and social development.

"We are developing 3+1 industries, such as a headquarters economy, the modern high-tech industry, the modern service industry and the tropical high efficiency agriculture. For our headquarters economy, we have already gathered a lot of enterprises in the Sanya Central Business District. Next year we plan to attract more than 1,000 new enterprises in the district,"said Bao Hongwen, mayor of Sanya Municipal People's Government.

At present, the construction of Wenchang International Aerospace City is also being accelerated. In the past five years, the Wenchang Spacecraft launch site has successfully completed 13 major launch tasks, including "Tianwen 1", "Chang'e 5" and the Tianhe core module, witnessing China's progress on the spacefaring technologies and practices. In 2022, Wenchang City will further promote its space construction into a new phase.

Liu Chong, mayor of Wenchang Municipal People's Government expressed that Wenchang is attracting precise investment around the three industrial chains of rockets, satellites and data to spur the development of the commercial space industry.

Additionally, we are actively cultivating new engines of aerospace science and technology innovation so as to build Wenchang into a domestic first-class and the internationally renowned high-tech cluster of aerospace industries.

The Hainan Free Trade Port construction also brings broad prospects for the development of a clean energy industry in Hainan.

Currently, Changjiang Li Autonomous County proposed to further grow the clean energy industry cluster, and strive to achieve a total output value of more than 30 billion yuan by the end of the "14th Five-Year Plan" period.

According to Chen Rumao, secretary of Changjiang Li Autonomous County Party Committee, after construction, the Changjiang Clean Energy Hi-Tech Industrial Park has been gradually taking shape. In the next five years, Changjiang will make every effort to promote the completion and operation of the second phase of nuclear power and small reactors, and attract a number of advanced projects related to the manufacturing industry and productive service industry.

Dongfang City has put forward the goal of building a modern southwestern central city, and will accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system with the "3+1" industry as the leading industry.

Tian Lixia, secretary of Dongfang Municipal Party Committee told the reporter that in terms of the modern service industry, Dongfang is vigorously promoting the development of a logistics industry based on the Basuo Port. For the high-tech industry, Dongfang has developed an industrial park near the port. Dongfang is not only a strong industrial city, but also a big agricultural city.

In 2021, Hainan aims to further deepen the supply-side structural reform of agriculture so as to enhance the international competitiveness of tropical high-efficiency agriculture.

Wanning focuses on the eight industrial chains including Xinglong coffee, Noni fruit and so on. We intend to attract more investment to complete the industrial chains and supply chains. Currently, we have welcomed the settlement of the leading coffee enterprise, the Charoen Pokphand Group

"Wanning also develops shared farms with Xinglong coffee as its theme, by absorbing social capital, as well as forming a new development model of the coffee industry integrating planting, processing, sales, research and tourism,"said Ni Yegao, deputy to the Hainan Provincial People's Congress.

Cai Saiyong, deputy to the Hainan Provincial People's Congress said that Wanning shall set its eyes on the development of the Noni industry to advance Wanning’s rural revitalization and industrial revitalization.

Following the expectation of the market, Wanning pushes forward the "company + growers" benefit-sharing model, encouraging farmers to expand Noni planting, so that they can generate more income.

The government work report mentioned that in 2021, the Boao Lecheng Pilot Zone of International Medical Tourism saw a 58.5% increase in the number of licensed imported drugs and a 90.6% rise in the number of medical tourists.

The number of people who purchased the Global Special Drug Insurance surpassed 8 million.

In 2022, Hainan will continue to support the Boao Lecheng Pilot Zone in high-end medical beauty, transplantation and rehabilitation, the import of licensed drugs and food, and more to shape new advantages, and then achieve exponential growth in medical and health consumption.
