The drill simulated a scenario where a staff member from Boao was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 with a positive nucleic acid test result. Control was immediately initiated and a large-scale nucleic acid testing was carried out. The target population in this drill was 20,000, and 17 testing sites were set up, with orderly organization, clear division of labor and reasonable process. It has achieved the expected results. Boao Lecheng and China Construction First Group, the contractor of the industrial park, organized a volunteer team, to guide 2,486 people from 28 units to participate in the drill in batches.

“We came here at seven o 'clock this morning to conduct the drill, which can make us feel more assured as the Spring Festival approaches, and also make preparations for the orderly return of workers,” said Wang Jiaxing, a volunteer of West China Lecheng Hospital Project.

Fu Qingke, deputy director of Approval and Construction Department of Boao Lecheng Pilot Zone stated that it examines Boao's ability to quickly start up nucleic acid testing, the cooperation between the medical staff and the project workers, as well as the testing speed of medical staff.
