In order to further improve the overall business environment in China’s southern Hainan Province, the tropical province updated its online business optimization platform in January, allowing users to check the progress of issues they have submitted in real time.

The procedure for checking the progress of submitted issues on the official website of the People’s Government of Hainan Province (www.hainan.gov.cn) is as follows:

That is not all. According to Yang Tian, Head of the Hainan Provincial Business Environment Optimization Office, when someone submits an issue on the platform, a text message will be sent with information on which unit will be responsible for handling the problem. Later, another text message will be sent with the name and contact number of the person responsible for handling the problem.

"The Business Environment Optimization Office is also responsible for the direct handling of major issues submitted on the platform. In these cases, we promise to finish investigation of the problem within three working days and give feedback within 10 working days," Yang Tian added.

"Only two days after I submitted an issue on the platform, I received a text message telling me that the problem was being dealt with," said a representative of a warehouse logistics company for hazardous chemicals, "I can see that Hainan attaches great importance to solving our problems, and I am sure that issues submitted on the website will be taken care of properly."
