Representatives from 21 island countries and regions, including Bali, Phuket, Maldives, and Jeju, are in attendance at the forum, discussing the economic development and trends of wedding and honeymoon tourism under the pandemic. Two round-table forums are also being held, focusing on the topics of "Sharing experience and successful cases of wedding tourism reception in world destinations" and "How to better promote and develop the global wedding tourism industry after the epidemic". Participants exchange ideas and inspirations at the site.

Shi Kangning, the sci-tech expert database of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of the People's Republic of China stated that in 2020, a total of about 2,200 weddings were held in Sanya. It is reported that there are nearly 4,000 weddings this year. The number of people who come for wedding photography will probably reach more than 300,000, which is a huge number.

The forum also jointly launched the certification standard of Sanya Global Wedding and Honeymoon Island for the first time. The certificates are also issued to 25 wedding industry elites from 7 countries around the world.
