China’s first sporting goods and equipment import expo will be held at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center in Haikou—the capital of Hainan Province—from December 3 to 5, 2021. With an exhibition area of 37,000 square meters and more than 300 exhibitors representing business associations and enterprises from 8 of Hainan’s cities and counties, 20 Chinese provinces and municipalities, and 6 countries.

One of the highlights of the Expo comes about from the Hainan Free Port’s duty-free policies. Because of these policies attendees at this Expo will be able to enjoy an on-site duty-free shopping experience.

With exhibitors from six countries including Brazil, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom displaying their sports projects, sporting goods and special sports culture, the four exhibition areas of the International Pavilion will be the Double Olympic Sports Culture Exhibition Area, International Exhibition Area, Smart Sports Exhibition Area, and Outdoor Sports Equipment Exhibition Area.

A Comprehensive Experience Hall will be divided into three parts: Sports Equipment, Sports for Sale, and Sports for All with sports stars invited to attend an all-star show in the Sports for All area. The sports equipment area will feature a diverse display of items including weights for bodybuilding, various kinds of water sports equipment, archery supplies, bicycles and cycling gear, and martial arts training material. In the Sports for Sale area, a large number of sports brands including healthy food and drink enterprises will be exhibiting their products.

At the same time, the Expo will also host a Free Trade Port Sports Tourism Investment Promotion Conference and the 2021 Hainan Olympic Sports Science and Technology Forum. The conference will launch several Hainan sports tourism projects, and—under the theme of the Olympics and promoting the Beijing 2022 Winter Games—the forum will carry out multiple discussions on art, humanities, science, and technology, and sports.
