On August 4, in order to further prevent and control the epidemic and strengthen the management of close COVID - 19 contacts, Sanya's Jiyang Disrtict quickly quarantined the close contacts of Haikou's August 1 confirmed cases as well as people from medium or high risk areas arriving in Sanya. The city also added a new quarantine site to ensure early detection, early quarantine, and early treatment.

Hampton by Hilton Sanya Weiming Lake Park has been designated a new quarantine site in Jiyang District, and includes a living area, a quarantine area, a work area and a medical staff channel as well as a quarantine personnel channel. A spokesman for the Sanya Jiyang District Health Commission said that the hotel has set up a one-meter cordon and a police cordon, disinfects public areas every afternoon, and is equipped with 11 medical staff and 20 law enforcement personnel on duty 24 hours a day.

Jiyang District has carried out nucleic acid tests on more than 3,500 people from medium or high risk areas arriving in Sanya since August 1, and the test results were all negative. There are 207 isolation rooms in two isolation hotels in Jiyang District, with 239 people currently under quarantine.
