Hainan Free Trade Port International Communication Studio officially launched

On July 8, the Hainan Free Trade Port International Communication Studio, jointly founded by the Publicity Department of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, the Xinhua News Agency Information Center, and the Hainan International Media Center, was officially unveiled in Haikou City. The first training session on international communication work was held, inviting domestic and international mainstream media experts and scholars in the field of international communication to deliver special lectures and participate in exchanges on the topics of publicity, cultural tourism, and education in Hainan.

In his speech, Lv Hong, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, pointed out that in the face of the profoundly changing global political and economic landscape, on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the establishment of the Hainan Free Trade Port International Communication Studio and the training session are concrete measures implementing the spirit of General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and President Xi Jinping’s important speech on international communication.

Lv Hong, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, delivered a speech.

The current main tasks of the Hainan Free Trade Port International Communication Studio include the establishment of an Image Database and an expert committee to conduct special research on international communication in Hainan as well as the release of annual results. The Studio will hold high-end international communication seminars and large-scale international brand communication activities such as "Yeah! Hainan". It is committed to integrating all media resources through online and offline channels, using integrated media technology to tell the stories of Hainan to the outside world, and helping Hainan’s corporate brands go overseas. Likewise, it will help international companies based in Hainan to expand into the Chinese market. It will work to establish a connection among people from different backgrounds.

Chu Xuejun, director of the Xinhua News Agency Information Center, believes that China's development has brought opportunities to the world, and this is also the significance of China’s international communication work. The Xinhua News Agency Information Center will work with the Hainan International Media Center and make full use of the Xinhua News Agency's domestic and international communication resources to actively spread the voices of Hainan and tell the stories of Hainan to the world through the medium of the Hainan Free Trade Port International Communication Studio.

At the unveiling ceremony, the second season of This is Hainan: Discovering Mysteries, a series of ecological micro-documentaries produced by the Hainan International Media Center, was officially released. The 16 episodes of the first season were released in 2020, with a total of more than 50 million domestic and international views.
