1921-2021

From humble beginnings to changing the world,

From utter confusion to perfect regulation,

The Communist Party of China is celebrating 100 years.

A century old and still in its prime.

Hainan is bursting with life,

from red soil to a high ground for opening up,

from the end of the earth to a vacation paradise.

Under the leadership of the CPC

Hainan has been transformed.

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the CPC,

we invite you to enjoy the following images.

100 years of red history unfolding as a scroll.

From the events of the past, we find strength to move forward.

The 100-Year Road and the Hainan Tide is a magnificent scroll of paper-cuttings jointly produced by the Hainan International Media Center, the New Hainan App, Hinews, and the Nanguo Metropolis Daily. This spectacular work of art took a team of highly talented artisans over one month to complete. The paper-cutting scroll measures 22 meters in length and 68 centimeters in width, with a total of 21 vivid scenes created via the traditional intangible heritage Chinese art of paper-cutting. The carefully created scenes include the first congress of the CPC in Qiongya, the battle of Yezi Village, the Murui Mountain Revolutionary Base, the Neidong Mountain meeting, the development of the world’s largest Free Trade Port, and many more major historic events in the past 100 years of Hainan’s fascinating, ongoing story.

Please scan the QR code and enjoy the 22 meter long scroll!

It will take you on a journey through 100 years of Hainan history.

The people have faith, the citizens have hope, the nation has strength.

Congratulations to the CPC, and best wishes to China for an even brighter tomorrow.
