The traditional Chinese calendar divides each year into 24 solar terms. Mángzhòng, or “Grain in Beard”, is the ninth solar term. When Mangzhong arrives, Hainan welcomes the passion fruit harvest season. In Rongbang Township, Baisha County, the local farmers are cheerfully going about the work of harvesting a large crop of ripe, tasty passion fruit.
