Matthias Danie Manghard, a talented chef from Germany, is now living and working in Lingshui. He was attracted to Lingshui by its beautiful beaches and comfortable life, and now has been there for two and a half years, enjoying a “slow” life with his friends.
As the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port continues, Lingshui is offering benefits to attract more international talents. Now, international talents with a full-time undergraduate degree or above, working as a corporate representative in Lingshui, starting a business, and paying taxes, can apply to live in the Wutong Apartment Complex. Matthias Danie Manghard is benefitting from the new policy and became the first international talent to move in.
This year Matthias chose to spend Spring Festival with his friends. Tommy Coleman, special guest host and Overseas Communications Officer of the Hainan International Media Center, was invited to join him for a dinner with friends and enjoy the German food he cooked. When asked what his plans are for 2021, Matthias said he hopes to enjoy his “slow” life in Lingshui, enjoying time with friends, and trying things he couldn't do in the past.
