Haikou
Sports Events: From Apr. 30 - May 2, Changying Wonderland is hosting the 2026 CAMF E-Drifting Challenge Hainan. The “I Love Haikou Cup” National Elite Volleyball Challenge will be held at the Haikou Stadium, and the “Haikou Cup” Football League, Table Tennis League, and Youth Pickleball Open will also be held at the same time.
Cultural Performances: From May 3-4, Mission Hills Movie Town will hold the “Wind Blows From Haikou, Youth Attraction” Music Festival, featuring eight popular domestic music acts, and a total of 21 well-known plays will be staged at the Haikou Bay Performance Center, the Hainan Theater for the Performing Arts, and other venues.

The Atlantis Water World Music Festival and Silk Road Paradise International Carnival will be held in succession. Meanwhile, the ‘See You in Sanya’ themed marketing campaign targeting Southeast Asia is being held, cultural and tourism ads have been placed in Taipei, Taiwan, and a joint cultural and tourism program has been launched in cooperation with Xi’an in order to facilitate mutual tourism exchanges.
Lingshui Li Autonomous County

The Hainan Ocean Paradise Resort is offering special discounts for tickets to both the Ocean Waterpark and Ocean Paradise parks. Nanwan Monkey Island is offering a special ‘Sea Adventure x Zootopia’ themed family activity, the Hainan Tropical Forest Bolan Park is holding a family kite-flying and camping event, and the Hainan Tanka Museum is holding fun quizzes and DIY grain collage activities.
Wuzhishan

Three different tour routes have been set up to meet the needs of travelers. The first takes visitors to the Hainan Museum of Ethnology and to Yulin Tianjie (Rainforest Street), where they can check out intangible cultural heritage skills, participate in local activities, and enjoy the mountain town’s specialty market. The second route offers orchid pop sci, tea culture education, and family pig-catching activities, while the third includes the Li Township Carnival, Red Canyon rafting, and rainforest handicraft activities.

Wanning, known as a ‘sports tourism city’, is hosting eight high-level sporting events in key spots such as Riyue Bay and Shimei Bay. The area also offers five customized boutique tour routes, including routes themed around trending sports and culinary exploration, linking resources across the entire region. Wanning is also developing new cultural tourism formats such as ‘surfing+’ and ‘coffee+’, developing a year-round vacation system.
With the approach of the Labor Day holiday, Hainan has launched ten themed tours and 66 boutique study tour routes, making the most of the island province’s unique aerospace, marine, rainforest, and seed breeding resources to create ‘moving classrooms’ that combine education and hands-on activities welcoming young people and families from near and far.
