From 26 to 27 November, the Global South media delegation explored how Lingshui Li Autonomous County is leveraging an open, forward-looking approach to perform "time-space magic" in film production and build a new "smart hub" in education.

Film Base Wows Global South Journalists with its "Dream Factory"

On the afternoon of November 26, the Global South media delegation visited the Haifeng International Film and Television Base in Lingshui's Li'an Town.

There, the Global South journalists stepped directly into what felt like a "dream-making factory" for short dramas, complete with more than 90 themed film sets.

"Actors just push open a door and, within seconds, they can enter a completely different scene," explained a representative of the Base. The base's intelligent linkage design perfectly matches the fast-paced, multi-scene nature of short-form drama production, enabling rapid scene changes while saving both time and labour.

"It's unbelievable!" exclaimed Amira Mustafa of Egypt's Al-Mashhad Newspaper, who found herself repeatedly astonished as she moved from a private-jet first-class cabin to a Southeast Asian police station scenario and then, a few paces later, into a lavish CEO's office, simply by stepping through a door. "This kind of 'time-space jump' feels like playing a real-life portal game!"

Education Innovation Pilot Zone Breaks Boundaries Offering Media a Look at Hainan's New Approach

On the morning of 27 November, the delegation visited the Lingshui Li'an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone (the Li'an Pilot Zone) to learn about its educational reforms and talent-development initiatives, and to witness first-hand the rapid progress of Hainan's International Education project.

Established in June 2020, the Li'an Pilot Zone is the country's only internationalised education hub where multiple universities jointly operate Sino-foreign cooperative programmes.

Walking through the campus, reporters noticed the zone's development first-hand. From the rooftop of a teaching building, the construction of the pilot zone stretched out beneath them; in the distance, the shimmering surface of Xincun Lagoon reflected the modern teaching facilities along its shore and the striking campus environment captivated the entire group.

Marlon Dwight Samuels of the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation（JBC）remarked: "This model cleverly breaks both physical and institutional boundaries. It saves resources while encouraging cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary exchange, this is a smart example of education internationalisation."
