Chinese Tianzhou-9 Cargo Spacecraft Successfully Launched

A Long March-7 Y10 carrier rocket, carrying the Tianzhou-9 cargo spacecraft, achieved successful lift off from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site.

The China Manned Space Agency releases that a Long March-7 Y10 carrier rocket, carrying the Tianzhou-9 cargo spacecraft, achieved successful lift off from the Wenchang Spacecraft Launch Site at Hainan Province at 5:34 am Beijing time on July 15, 2025.

Approximately 10 minutes post ignition, the Tianzhou-9 cargo spacecraft separated from the carrier rocket and entered its pre-selected orbit. After the spacecraft's solar panels completed its status setting, the complete success of the launch project was confirmed.

In the follow-up phase, the Tianzhou-9 cargo spacecraft successfully docked with the country's Tiangong Space Station. As scheduled, the Shenzhou-20 crew members onboard entered the cargo craft and transferred its payloads.

This launch mission is the fourth cargo supply task since China's manned space program entered the phase of space station application and development, also the 36th launch since the project start and 584th Long March carrier rocket flight.
