As China’s first zero-carbon pilot zone, the Boao Zero-Carbon Demonstration Zone is to be created by renovating existing facilities. The demonstration zone is exploring a replicable and adaptable green renovation model that could be applied on a greater scale to even more places in the future. Hopefully, this model can provide a blueprint for renovation and zero-carbon construction to create a livable, green, resilient, smart urban environment.
