The 2023 "Hainan Free Trade Port on a New Journey Press Tour" has concluded.

Over a period of just four short days, China-based journalists from Russia, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Singapore, India, and Iraq managed to visit Haikou, Qionghai, Wanning, Wuzhishan, and Sanya.  From the natural beauty of Wuzhishan's tropical rainforest to Sanya's West Island, they crammed in history, culture, ecology and science as they not only took a deep dive into the Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone but also the advanced science going on at the Institute of Deep Sea Science and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Prior to their departure, the journalists expressed pleasure with the way the event was run and the amount of information they picked up during this tour, learning about the island's development and future prospects. Lee Beulchan, the Korean journalist from Chosun Ilbo remarked that he was most impressed by Maona village and the hospitable Li people's clever development model for taking their own unique characteristics and advantages to develop local industries.

Hadi, the journalist from Rudaw expressed that this trip had left such a good impression on him that he was almost certain to come back again on holiday. The harmonious combination of human and nature and the pure pleasant attitudes of the locals were exactly the sort of thing he likes to see and which he feels are worth sharing to the whole world.

Over these few activity-filled days, the foreign journalists have used the written word to accompany photos and video as they introduced Hainan's ancient traditions and modern development to the world.
