Hainan Displays Fruitful Achievements Made in New Era

At the achievement exhibition themed with "Striving for a New Era" in Beijing, Hainan is displaying its fruitful achievements in various sectors.

The Hainan Hall is divided into six sections. There are many pictures and diagrams, demonstrating the resolution of Hainan in building itself into a free trade port with Chinese characteristics.

Aiming to build itself into "three zones and one destination,” Hainan has implemented many preferential policies since the release of the “Overall Plan for the Construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port” two years ago. The videos and pictures present Hainan's efforts to this end over the past years. The “three zones” refer to a pilot zone for comprehensively deepening reform and opening up, a national pilot zone for ecological conservation, and a service zone for implementing China's major strategies. "One destination" refers to the international tourism and consumption destination.

“Many favorite policies have been implemented in Hainan in an orderly manner, such as the 15% tax rate for corporate and personal incomes and the three "zero tariff" lists. I think they are already well known. The policies and data jointly showcase that the Hainan Free Trade Port construction is breeding a prosperous future,” said Zeng Kexin, a SSTV reporter.
In recent years, Hainan has adhered to ecological conservation and striven to build itself into an all-year-round garden for the nation. The Hainan Tropical Rainforest National Park has been listed as one of the first national parks. At the exhibition, Hainan also displays its tropical rainforests to the public.

“The population of the Hainan Gibbon, Eld's Deer and other endangered species has steadily increased. When you come here, you can not only get a whole picture of Hainan’s biodiversity, but also its distinctive fruits,” Zeng added.

A Beijing resident, said, “It’s my first time to see this kind of mango. It has a really good smell. I told my friend just now that I want to stay here, because these fruits smell very delicious.”
