During their “tenure” of two years, these representatives will experience the business environment in person or observe it from a third-person view. They will give feedback on administrative approvals, the implementation of policies, openness in government affairs, service commitments, market management, and more.

They are also responsible for collecting issues and feedback from Hainan's business community during the process, as well as suggesting solutions to these problems and to improve the business environment based on relevant laws and regulations.

The provincial government will respond to the problems and suggestions submitted by the representatives in a timely manner, and the results of the assessment and improvements will be open to the public. Some of the representatives' suggestions will contribute to the optimization of the Hainan FTP's business environment policies.
