The opening ceremony of the 2nd Hainan Brocade & Embroidery World Culture Week kicked off with a stunning fashion show featuring 120 brocade outfits in Haikou, capital of China’s southern Hainan Province, on Tuesday evening.

Bringing a visual feast to the audience, the fashion show started with a wood drill fire and tree bark cloth making performance. These two intangible cultural heritage arts show the incredible wisdom of the ancient Li people.

In addition, new styles of Li brocade outfits with traditional handicrafts and patterns as core elements and internationally trendy designs shone bright at the fashion show.
