The Fifth Session of the Sixth Hainan Provincial People's Congress Concluded

On January 24, the Fifth Session of the Sixth Hainan Provincial People's Congress concluded. Deputies vow to implement the instructions of the congress, pushing forward Hainan's comprehensive deepening of reform and opening up and the construction of the Hainan FTP with Chinese characteristics to a new level.

During the past few days, the deputies to the Hainan Provincial People's Congress echoed the voice of the public on ecological protection, rural revitalization, comprehensive deepening of reform, the security of people's livelihood, the continuous optimization of the business environment and high-quality economic development. They have contributed their wisdom to promote the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

Chong Runzhi, deputy to the Hainan Provincial People's Congress told the reporter that based on the needs and the expectations of women and their families, deputies will well-perform their functions to improve management services, continue to uphold the family traditions, and lead women to contribute their wisdom and strength.  

"We shall make efforts for industrial planning, industrial structure adjustment, the revitalization of rural economy and the consolidation of poverty alleviation. We shall complete the annual targets on project implementation and industrial structure adjustment, allowing the masses to earn more benefits in the course of the Hainan FTP construction," said Mu Lianyun, deputy to the Hainan Provincial People's Congress.

This year marks the vital year for the implementation of the FTP policies and the preparation of the independent customs operation.

Standing at a new starting point, the province will ramp up every effort to embark on a new journey of development in the new era and usher in the opening of the 20th National Party Congress!

Ma Fei, deputy to the Hainan Provincial People's Congress said that deputies will investigate the major issues in the reform and development of Danzhou and Yangpu, clarify the demand for legislation and erect more systems.

"We aim to apply more ethnic minority groups' intangible cultural heritage and turn Hainan's townships into 'Towns of Intangible Cultural Heritage' so as to promote rural revitalization via developing special industries," said Chen Shifeng, deputy to the Hainan Provincial People's Congress.
