The mangrove forest of Yanfeng Town, Meilan District, Haikou City, is a place where a group of egrets live and forage for food. The mangrove forest is resource-rich, with everything they need to thrive.

In recent years, with the yearly expansion of Hainan’s mangrove forests, the overall functioning of the mangrove and wetland ecosystem continues to improve, and the water environment and ecological conditions are growing better and better. From November to March each year, a large number of migratory birds choose to overwinter in the island’s mangrove forests and the surrounding water systems. The good ecological environment provides them with an excellent habitat.
