Haikou started inoculating people aged 12 to 14 with COVID-19 vaccines on August 2 as planned. At present, there are 101 designated COVID-19 vaccination sites for youth aged 12 to 17 in Haikou, including 21 in Xiuying District; 29 in Longhua District; 28 in Qiongshan District; and 23 in Meilan District. Youth aged 12 to 14 accompanied by their guardians can go to a nearby designated vaccination site to get vaccinated. Furthermore, the COVID-19 vaccination rate in Haikou among elderly persons aged 60 and above is only 59.15%, indicating the vaccination rate among the elderly remains to be further improved.
