The Sanya Education Bureau announced the suspension of all in-person teaching and gatherings inside and outside schools beginning August 2 in order to effectively prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic, do as much as possible to block the spread of the epidemic, and ensure the safety and health of teachers and students.
All types of schools (including kindergartens), off-campus training institutions, and other study spaces in Sanya must suspend in-person teaching and training activities, and are not allowed to organize any form of in-person gatherings. All types of training classes and examinations, as well as other activities of teachers and students such as inspection, training, social practice, summer camps, and so on, are suspended until further notice.
All schools and off-campus training institutions should take the initiative to convey information about the epidemic to students and parents and work to obtain their understanding, support, and cooperation, as well as properly handle related matters such as rescheduling and refunds.
Teachers, students, and parents should closely adhere to the epidemic prevention and control regulations, take personal protective measures, and minimize unnecessary outings in the near future. They should refrain from participating in any type of gathering, should avoid leaving the island or the country unless necessary, and should report epidemic-related travel information in a timely manner.
The Education Bureaus of all districts and the Education, Technology, and Health Bureau of the Yucai Ecological Zone should strengthen supervision in order to ensure that all schools, kindergartens, and off-campus training institutions suspend offline teaching and gatherings. Those who violate the above regulations will be held accountable in accordance with China’s laws and regulations.
