The Summit invited outstanding people in various fields to share their insights and forward-looking thoughts on the development of e-sports industry from aspects such as "international perspective,” “industrial investment,” “technological innovation,” “cultural links” and “ecological construction" in combination with the development of the “digital economy". At the Conference, the planned overall layout of Tencent e-sports industry in 2021 was also released around the theme of "building a high-quality e-sports life, helping grow a new wave of popular events, creating a new map of international events, and developing the whole field’s industrial ecology".

This year is the third time which the Summit and the Conference has been held in Hainan. There were 1,100 representatives from domestic and international leading e-sports enterprises in attendance. "The successful holding of this event plays a positive role in establishing Hainan as a new high ground for the development of the e-sports industry, enhancing the new image of the island as an international tourism consumption center, and driving Hainan's economic development. It also injects new vitality and business opportunities into Hainan," said Lai Yongwen, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hainan Provincial People's Government.

Hou Miao, Vice-President of Tencent Games and General Manager of Tencent E-sports, stated that he believes the release of the Hainan Free Trade Port Law is a favorable guarantee for his and other companies’ long-term development. He said in the future, Tencent will continue to cooperate with the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, the Hainan Provincial People's Government, and relevant local institutions to promote the development of Hainan's

While mentioning the development of the e-sports industry in the Hainan Free Trade Port, as the person in charge of Supergen Edu’s marketing and brand, Ding Xin, Vice General Manager of Supergen Edu, also said: "The development of enterprises depends on having more support from more professionals. It is an absolute that education must happen before industry development can. Training local talents and attracting more non-local talents to come to Hainan can promote the development of Hainan's local

e-sports industry."

At the same time, a myriad of new ways of commercializing the e-sports industry are showing up in the form of derivative industries. Separate from the ever popularizing concept of diversified e-sports, the Summit saw international home furnishing brand IKEA showing off the way their philosophy of creating a better home experience can integrate with a better home e-sports experience.
