75-year-old Fu Shiqiong is a local celebrity in the town of Dongjiao, where he was born into a family of coconut carvers. Needing only a simple carving knife and a workbench, Fu Shiqiong often sits all day in his humble workshop hidden deep in a coconut grove. The patterns he needs to carve have long been memorized by heart, each stroke clearly showing the hard-won experience of long years.
