Of course you know that the capital city of Hainan has more to offer than just the water, right? In Haikou‘s Volcano Park you can enjoy a nature hike to the highest point in the city, something you have to do at least once while you’re here. There are also tons of exciting outdoor activities at the Park, including a children’s amusement park, jungle paintball, recreational all-terrain vehicles... Come on out and challenge yourself in a lush, forested environment that will make you forget your drab city life.

Changying Global 100 Fantasy Park is a family-focused theme park. Here, the kids will enjoy exciting rides, a carnival-style parade, and even a stage play.

Prefer animals to people, and trees to skyscrapers? Head out to the Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden, where kids can now become “little animal keepers” taking good care of Hainan Eld's deer, a first-class protected species in China. A creative handcraft competition will be held over the holiday as well, which means that you can express your artistic side and come home with your very own handmade souvenir.

You don’t want to miss Meimei Village and Ruzhang Village if you enjoy the slow-paced life in Hainan’s scenic countryside. Ancient volcanic rock houses with mossy faces and cool, refreshing air inside not only provide excellent shelter from the heat of the sun, but also give you a glimpse of the ancient lifestyle of the local people. Plus, nearby there are many fields where you can pick your own ripe fruit and eat it right off the tree, the perfect family bonding activity.
