The Fourth Session of the Seventh Hainan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded on Jan. 27 in Haikou.

During the session, representatives from all walks of life discussed the Hainan Provincial government work report.  Issues regarding the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, improving the business environment, and the development of modern industries attracted broad interest from the attendees. Most of the proposals put forward by the CPPCC members were approved, and the Hainan government will implement these suggestions in the near future.

At the Third Plenary Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Seventh Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC held before the closing meeting, Liu Dengshan was elected Vice-Chairman of the Seventh Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, Chen Chao was elected Secretary-General of the Seventh Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, and Kang Baiying was elected to the membership of the Standing Committee of the Seventh Hainan Provincial Committee of the CPPCC.
