HIMC overseas communication officer organized free masks' distribution activity in Haikou

On January 26th, David Chon, the founder of the Chimac restaurant and pub, and also one of the overseas communication officers of Hainan International Media Center, conducted a free masks' distribution activity in Haikou, Hainan. Two spots for distribution free masks were set up in Haikou, in Guomao and Hadiandao.

David indicated that volunteers would teach recipients how to use the masks properly, and everyone can get 2 masks. “About 6000 masks have been handed out today,”said David. When it comes to the purpose of the activity, David said:”We all have to do what we can do in order to stop the virus spreading, and defeat the disease.” David introduced that foreigners and Chinese students took part in the activity.

Sarah, an English teacher, is one of the volunteers of the activity. She said that the activity was meaningful and she loved Hainan especially the people here in Hainan. “I join in this activity because I want everyone here in Hainan to be safe,”she said.

In Haidiandao area, people are in queue to collect the free masks at Porch Cafe.
