By 2030, Hainan aims to build a more open, diversified and innovation-driven services economy, with the sector’s value added reaching 660 billion yuan (about USD 92 billion), or around 61 percent of GDP.

From tourism and international consumption to digital economy, education, healthcare, finance, aviation and shipping, the province is expanding its modern services sector and strengthening its role as a hub connecting China with the world.
